Keeping it Green

Betsy, Lila, Aria and I have been working on our Green Gold slides. We are doing a soccer tournament to fundraise for Starship (A hospital). Our group is called CLAB. I hope you enjoy my slides and can understand them.

Following Gold

Before lockdown all the way till now we have been learning about the Gold Rush. We had to take notes from the story and figure out what the words meant, how it related to you and comparing information within the text. Here are my slides.

Jean Batten

Jean Batten was the first woman to fly over the english channel. She didn't set just that record she set many more. Louis bleriot was the first person ever to fly over the channel and he was Jean's biggest inspiration.

SHHH - don't tell

In our writing workshop we played a game where we had sprint of to the kitchen and find an item but you couldn't show anybody. We all got paired up with a buddie. My buddie was Te Atawhai and she gave me fish sauce. You should have seen her face when she tasted it. Here is my'n try and guess in the comments.

Cooking

As you know we have been in lockdown for 1 week now. I love doing maths and the only maths I get to do is over a google meet so I decided to put my measuring skills to the test. I have backed Anzac biscuits, banana choc chip muffins and caramel slice.

I had never baked banana muffins so they were delicious for the first three days but then the icing just went all soggy after that.  My anzac biscuits turned out great but they only lasted two days because my sister ate them all. The caramel slice changed my life. It is rich and silky and falls to pieces in your mouth.

I probably won't be able to bake anymore so I might start cooking dinners like pizza. I am eyeing out vanilla cupcakes because they're easy to make and my mum can't resist.  The caramel slice came in handy today because my grandparents came out for brunch. Overall I have had a scrumptious lockdown.
